Revolutionary Split
Sheath Design - SunRod split sheath cartridge heaters feature
a unique new construction that eliminates the failure points
of conventional cartridge heaters. A continuous resistor is
packed into the highest density insulation and and welded
to the lead connections. Lead wires can be bent sharply without
exposing the conductor, and exit through continuous insulation
rated to 900°F. |

Type SIT leads are a slender, continuous, flexible Teflon jacketed wire with no bulky splices. These lead wires simplify wire management in and around small devices. The leads are anchored in the heater, so they can be bent sharply where they exit the heater without exposing the conductor. Less than 1/16" of clearance is needed. Available in .032" and .045" in diameter, Type SIT leads require less than half the space of standard fiberglas insulated hookup wire.
Because they are silicone-free, they are suitable for use in clean-room environments and in ink-jet printers. SIT leads are rated for service up to 500 degrees F (260 degrees C). Maximum amperage capacity is 4 amps. Maximum voltage is 240 volts.
Typical Applications:
Semiconductor processing, Scientific instrumentation, Adhesive dispensing, packaging, Explosive & narcotics detection,Aircraft de-icing and air sampling |
